The Joubert Group

The start of the Joubert Group’s know-how and founding values
goes back to the 30s with the creation of a forestry entreprise by André Joubert, sawing and peeling poplar.

1972… In order to answer the growing demand for plywood and the development of new applications, his son Guy Joubert decided to import Okoume logs from Gabon. In the 90s, the Group took on a new dimension with the acquisition of a rival entity in France and the creation in 2002 of a peeling unit in Gabon called CPBG, in partnership with a major forester, CBG.

Born from this long industrial family tradition, the Joubert Group today, run by Thierry Joubert, is renowned on the international plywood market for the excellence of its products. Second European producer of Okoume plywood, the Joubert Group pursues a policy of investment and innovation on all its production sites.

The Joubert Group has significantly increased its production capacity notably by the acquisition of high-tech presses, one at the Joubert Saint Jean d’Angèly mill in 2006 and one to be installed at the Joubert Les Eliots mill in 2008.

Finally, all the sites are in the process of putting in place a chain of custody for ecocertified products.
